Kanya Café Bar and Bistro has been trading successfully since 2004, offering traditional English cuisine. Over the years the menu has developed to include bistro-style dishes with a modern twist.

All of our dishes are freshly prepared, resourcing local produce wherever possible. Our innovative chefs enhance the dining experience with dishes that are beautifully and imaginatively presented; our eyes alert our senses well before our taste buds!
Mainstays from our menu are probably the 'full English' breakfast and the Sunday roast, both very popular and continuing to win the hearts of our guests.
We have always believed in the importance of working hand in hand with other local businesses, convinced that such cooperation is mutually supportive and to the benefit of us all. We look forward to Kanya to experience the delights of Kanya.
Meet The Team

Monika Palka
In 2013 Monika joined Kanya as a junior member of staff. Being highly motivated and hard-working, she quickly progressed through the company. She has strong leadership qualities and excellent management skills. During her time at Kanya she has been willing to learn from more experienced members of staff in all the skills necessary to the running of a restaurant.
From maintenance repairs, through ordering stock, learning to prepare and cook the dishes on the menu; to coordinating staff and work rotas to bring out the best qualities in each member, and the very demanding work involved in dealing with all the financial affairs of the company. Such diligence has brought her to the position of Company Director. Monika leads by example.
